ON 30 October, HAPPY DIWALI

On behalf of SAARCLAW and my personal behalf I extend the best wishes to all those celebrating the festivities of Diwali. Diwali is a great festival of light. It signifies the victory of light over darkness , good over evil, knowledge over ignorance and hope over despair. Muslims, Hindus, Sikhs Jains, Buddhists, Christians and Jews all should celebrate this great festival together, given its significance. It is a South Asian festival and like yoga has the propensity to be a global festival. I also take this opportunity of conveying to my Hindu brethren and their families my good wishes on the occasion of Laxmi pooja and Dhanteras and to my Sikh friends the celebrations on the occasion of Bandi Chhor Divas to mark the release of Guru Hargobind which fall in close proximity to each other. As we celebrate, we should not forget the poor and the downtrodden and while praying , please pray for peace, harmony and brotherhood of all mankind. I will be a part of the celebrations and invoke divine blessings for all mankind and global peace. During these upcoming celebrations , each and every one of you stay healthy and safe.
